An ode to Charlton Heston

He worked alongside the cinema greats, such as Sophia Loren, Lawrence Olivier, Richard Chamberlain, Christopher Lee and John Gielgud but we will forever remember for his leading role as Judah Ben-Hur.

Yesterday Charlton Heston died in his Los Angeles home, aged 83.  Since his larger than life roles in the late 50s and early 60s, Heston became vocal member of the right wing National Rifle Association (later voted President of the NRA in 1998) and he appeared in the Michael Moore film "Bowling for Columbine".

We’ll till remember him as a screen great.

Yes, I enjoyed the movie Spartacus with Kirk Douglas more than Ben Hur, so sue me.
