Tech Ed 2008 [In Review] – Part 1

This is going to be a long post.  In fact, I’m very unlikely to finish it in one session, so check back for updates.

This year I was very lucky enough (a huge thank you to Readify) to attend the SQL Server 2-day conference event (The SQL Server Summit) which featured members of the Microsoft Customer Advisory Team (http://www.sqlcat.com) with special guest Danny Tambs (from Microsoft Australia).

I thoroughly enjoyed the SQL Summit.  If anyone is interested in SQL Server (and uses it on any kind of regular basis) I’d recommend the SQL Server Summit since the speakers provided invaluable guidance on scaling, high performance, high availability, report authoring, best practices for designing data cubes and more.

More on the summit and Tech.Ed 08 shortly.
