Sale of Criterion Collection/Art House at B&N

Hi Everyone.

I don’t normally post many articles about sales and such, but if you’ve ready visited my Criterion Collection page; you’ll know I’m a bit of a collector.  This morning an email popped into my inbox from Criterion Co concerning a very nice little sale currently on in-store and online at Barnes and Noble.

That’s a very respectable savings – 50% off – and I’ve compared the prices to Amazon, and they are genuinely lower across the board (although Amazon has moved to reduce heavily too).  It’s a great time to pick up that expensive boxed set (or multi-disc) and save some big dollars.

If you’re a Criterion collector like myself, you’d want to get in quick.  Traditionally, stock tends to be limited – especially on popular titles.

Dear Criterion collectors,

From today through July 30, online and in stores, Barnes & Noble is offering 50% off all our titles, whether Criterion or Eclipse, Blu-ray or DVD. And you can take advantage of our host of exciting new releases, including The Gold Rush, Being John Malkovich, Summer with Monika, Harold and Maude, Shallow Grave, The 39 Steps, and the cult collection Up All Night with Robert Downey Sr., featuring Putney Swope and more. There’s never been a better time to fill the gaps in your collection or pick up that special set you’ve been waiting for.

Happy viewing,
The Criterion Collection
