Mozart’s Best

Good news for classical music lovers.  Hot on the heals of this author’s attempts to get popular, but copyrighted, content into the public domain comes this great bit of news which is filed accordingly under the ‘Free Stuff’ category;

LONDON (Reuters) – Mozart’s year-long 250th birthday party is ending on a high note with the musical scores of his complete works available from Monday for the first time free on the Internet.

The International Mozart Foundation in Salzburg, Austria has put a scholarly edition of the bound volumes of Mozart’s more than 600 works on a website.

What a really nice Christmas present for many people, and I’m really glad that this kind of cultural achievement can be shared freely to the masses.

For lovers of classical music this is certainly a real treat.  As such, here is a link to the site.  Go and enjoy.

This is what it’s all about!
