Reflections of Development in 2010 (so far)

Well it has been a very interesting year thus far.  Determining the technology path for a wide variety of different business problems can be a fun and rewarding task (amongst other things) and sometimes I ponder some of the decisions and get a little amazed at the range of options.

This year alone, I have personally handled implementations and projects involving one or more of the following (fairly new) technologies, frameworks or platforms:

  • Windows 7
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • SQL Server 2008 R2
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
    • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • .Net Framework 4.0
    • Entity Framework 4.0
      • POCO Entities
      • EF v4 Provider Wrappers
    • Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
    • Windows Workflow (WF)
      • Dynamic Data Sites
      • MVC 2
    • WinForms
    • Html Agility Pack
    • WaTin
    • XML RPC 2.4
  • Team Foundation Server 2010
    • Team Explorer
    • Team Build

..and the year isn’t finished yet!
