Vista and Flash

Hi all,

So recently I’ve come to the conclusion that Vista and Flash aren’t a match made in heaven.

If you’ve got or used Vista, you may be aware that most flash powered sites don’t detect your flash version on Vista (for whatever reason) even though it’s perfectly installed.

Secondly, if you use MSN Messenger, you might be aware that winks and animated backgrounds use flash.  I managed to link the peak CPU usage (maxed) on my Windows Vista machine to the use of flash (in MSN Messenger).  The CPU use drops off when I minimise a flash-enabled messenger window.  The CPU use after I switched a messenger window to use a standard blank background drops to practically nothing.. odd enough, huh?

Flash on Vista is a nightmare.  Somebody should get their act together.
